Humble Yet Still Assertive!
Pauline Respress, M.Ed., |
But on this journey I have learned that when we can find ways to express our feelings then they don't merely fester in us --and become a boulder that sits in our bellies. Words give feelings a label and allow us to clearly express what is inside of us. Feelings need a path to travel they are like a river that winds and spills out into a great ocean.
Once we can express our feelings they are then out into the universe where they are processed and returned to us in the form of free space-- much like our hard drives on our computers-- we can then download or upload new feelings--new experiences. There is a fine line between humbleness and assertiveness and at times we must juggle between saying what needs to be said and humbling ourselves to the experience.
Sometimes silence is golden--it is in the moments of silence that we actually see what it is we need to see. Hear what it is we need to hear and experience what it is we need to experience. As I travel on this humbling journey I continue to learn that in the moments that we allow people into our space --we learn more and more about them and ourselves.
So this week ladies remember to remain humble while still staying true to your feelings.
Go Forth And Do Amazing Things This Week!
Kind Regards,
Pauline
