I Am Powerless!
At times I attempt to render myself powerless, to feel the true essence of myself--the person inside that desires to just be in control of myself and my own space. As I journey I realize that in truth we all seek power, but as we age and mature we realize that rendering ourselves powerless-is really the only true power. When we understand that when we outwardly or inwardly attempt to manipulate and control people, it is only a temporary sense of power. This power does not last, it is only a instant gratification fix --that only serves to mask a deeper issue of inadequacy.
One thing that I know for sure is that real power comes when we can surrender our own need for power over to GOD --and tap into his true power. As I survey the world around me, I realize that power struggles are all around me--everyone wants what they want and will do whatever it takes to get it. I will not hurt you to fullfil an insatiable need for power, that is not how I operate--I would rather allow you to have your power and render myself powerless to you. Because I know that in reality I am still powerful in GOD's eyes. In HIM I find the peace and guidance that I need.
When I find myself in the midst of a power struggle, I remember the old song, "The Battle is Not Yours It is The Lord's" and I step out of the way and trust him to fix the core of the struggle. If we continue to try to fix it on our own-- it will only serve to exasperate the struggle. Seeking power is at the core of many problems, if we would lay down our arms and seek God, we could solve a lot of problems that ail our homes, communities and churches. When we stop seeking power and seek God--a sense of peace washing over us---that renders us powerless.
So this week ladies seek GOD to tap into to real power!
Go Forth and Do Amazing Things This Week!
