Sharing Love

Pauline Respress, BAS,M.Ed
One thing that I am learning on this journey is that love can move all sorts of things. When you are confronted with that inevitable mountain that is hovering over you and blocking your way..Love It!--Dig down really deep and give it all of the love that you can muster. When times are hard and appear dark and ominous, love someone. It will light your way. Most people that appear angry and bitter, just need love. They are so filled with all of hurt, disappointment and maladies of life, that have consumed them. That they can't find there way back to love --the love that lies within them.

I am convinced that all of the moral unwinding that we see around us today,  is directly related to a lack of love. A lack of love in our homes, our communities and in some cases even in our churches. A lack of understanding that the key to harmony is LOVE--the love of GOD. Sometimes we search a lifetime for that perfect mate or perfect life and we come to know that perfection in our world is a myth, it is unattainable. The only perfection is building and sustaining a relationship with GOD--once we can find HIM in us. Then we can experience the true essence of love.

We can allow him to heal our broken places and lead us back to love again. Love is there, but the key is allowing ourselves to experience it again. I grew up with a half empty love tank and searched for many years for something to fill it, anything to make me feel again. I was numb from the horrors that life had so abundantly given me. I thought that a career would be the answer, I thought that having children would be the answer, I thought that having a husband would be the answer, therapy, more friends, more stuff.

But I grew to know that I had to know GOD-- and then step out of his way. I believe he allows us to attempt to find love in other places--so that we can appreciate his love when we find HIM. His love is rooted in our ability to go to our core and pull his love through our entire being. And when love has covered us and is entrenched in our spirit, then we can begin to share it-- with everyone that we encounter. We begin to deposit our love into others that are running on empty or half-full.

So this week ladies know that love heals us and the people around us.

Go Forth and Do Amazing Things!

Kind Regards,

Pauline
