Transforming Reality

Image
Sometimes the harshness of reality needs to be adjusted and turned upside down to see an entirely new meaning of it.Reality is an external state that can be altered by ones shift in thinking. We must look at reality, but at the same time see the possibilities in and through the reality.Possibilities are the cornerstones of HOPE.If we can see the possibilities in our reality, then we can begin to create a new reality that is fueled by the possibilities.Hope is a product of seeing the possibilities and having faith in those possibilities. Possibilities like hope open up an entirely new way of thinking, they take a roadblock and turn it into a stepping stone. But we must grab the reality and shake it up then turn it upside down if necessary, to locate the possibilities. They are there we simply need to stretch our minds to tap into them. Reality is merely what we see in the physical sense, but our spirit is not limited to the physical .Our spirit can supercede the seemingly impossible feat

What Others Think....

Image
When I am focused on what others think, it keeps me in a state of insanity. When I am so focused on how others may feel , I lose the true essence of my own ideas, my own creativity.Focusing on what others thinks, drains our energy and keeps us paralyzed in our thinking. One of my heroes Iyanla Vanzant says it most eloquently," when you have an idea created by YOU--keep it to yourself."Sometimes when you share it with others, your thinking is distorted by what they may think or feel.Noone should have the power to force their way of thinking on you, unless you willfully allow it. When I am focused on Christ and only how he feels about my thinking --my thinking becomes fluid and flows freely. He guides and shapes my thinking to his liking, and yes the world may not like it; but who do I want to please? GOD or The WORLD. Today what others think, is a mute point.I am too focused on walking my journey with GOD and allowing him to take my thinking to a holy and pure place. A

"Perfectly Imperfect"

Image
No one is perfect, perfection is a fleeting characteristic. It can keep you constantly chasing an unrealistic status. We attempt to create a world in our heads that others at times see as perfect, but no one really knows the story behind our glory. No one really knows how hard you work daily to just keep it together, how you challenge yourself to conquer your fears, how you try very hard to stay God-centered and focused in a world that is cold and calloused. "Perfection" is my enemy. I work hard "to just get it right, (just) some of the time".Some of the time is fine with me, because that says that when I get it wrong, I get to learn something about myself and others." Learning and growing" are my friends, because they keep me fluid, they keep me on the cutting edge. They allow me to see my imperfections clearer. I say today that I am perfectly imperfect, because I now know that my imperfections are those things that GOD has placed in me, so that I ma

Opportunity for Growth Intwined in Differences....

Author: Pauline Woodards-Respress When we have expectations of others it tends to keep us in a state of disappointment. We have a standard that we silently measure from-- in our heads, and when people do not perform to that standard we become disillusioned or disappointed. How can we set a standard for another adult human being? Every human being has the God given right to perform according to their on standard, don't they? Do I have the right to judge your standard? and do you have the right to judge my standard? If I am judging your standard of living doesnt that make me judgemental? If I am using my standard to measure your standard, is that fair to you? This is the litmus test that I use to stop myself from imposing my expectations on others.I tend to believe that my standards are the only standards, but when I allow myself to step back and merely receive your standards.I may even learn something, I may even adjust my own standards, because to quote from a Socratic verse--I
